Facing Climate Change: Workshop

The “Facing climate change” workshop is a unique opportunity for a group of international students studying in Sicily to gain a deep understanding of the current climate scenario and the effective policies and practices for combating it. The event features Amy Myers Jaffe, a distinguished research professor and the managing director of Tufts University Fletcher School’s Climate Policy Lab, as well as the co-chair of the steering committee of the Women in Energy Initiative at Columbia University’s Center on Global Energy Policy.

During the event, Professor Myers Jaffe will deliver a compelling lecture that focuses on international energy policy, business, and sustainability. She will share her extensive knowledge and experience in the field of climate change, highlighting the policies that have proven successful and those that have fallen short. After the lecture, there will be a collective debate where students can ask questions, share reflections, and exchange ideas.

This event is an excellent opportunity for students interested in shaping their career in responding to climate change to gain valuable insights, learn good practices, and explore concrete opportunities. The ultimate goal of this event is to inspire the next generation of leaders to take action and contribute to a sustainable future for all.

The event is open to all, subject to availability and it will be held entirely in English.
