The event

A new generation of Sicilian businesses is showing that you can create economic value and a positive impact on the region at the same time. They’re innovative companies that deserve more market opportunities, access to funding and public recognition.

With Sicilia che Innova, the first Forum on the social economy, Isola Catania connects them with the people who can help them grow. We’ve chosen three of the most important sectors for our region: cultural and creative businesses, digital and tech businesses, and the agrifood supply chain. Through a public call, we’re selecting 15 innovative companies in these sectors.

During the Forum, the selected businesses showcase their products and services and meet potential partners, clients and investors from Isola’s archipelago: more than 100 organisations, from corporates, SMEs and startups to foundations, universities, institutions and the third sector.

Through talks, discussions and working tables, participants build connections and a shared vision. At the heart of the day is the presentation of the Manifesto of Sicily’s B Corps, for a new way of doing business in Sicily. The Forum closes with awards for the businesses that have stood out for technological innovation, sustainability and impact, and growth potential.
